2025 Mercedes AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet Revealed With 443 Horsepower

Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the new CLE 53 AMG Cabriolet, expanding its CLE-Class lineup with a sporty convertible that is set to hit the market as a 2025 model in the latter half of the year. This follows the introduction of the CLE 53 coupe, which will be available from this summer as a 2024 model. Pricing details for both models will be revealed closer to their respective launches.

The CLE 53 Cabriolet is powered by a robust 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine, complemented by an electric compressor and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup generates a formidable 443 horsepower, with the mild-hybrid feature capable of adding a temporary boost of 23 horsepower at low speeds to enhance take-off. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, directing power to all four wheels.

Performance-wise, the Cabriolet can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, aided by available launch control, and reaches a top speed of 155 mph. The vehicle is equipped with adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, and an all-wheel-drive system with a rear bias. It also features a unique Drift mode, allowing it to function as a rear-wheel-drive car, emphasizing its dynamic capabilities. The CLE 53 stands out with its wider track, flared wheel arches, and large AMG light alloy wheels, underscoring its athletic stance. Inside, the Cabriolet boasts a high-tech cabin with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ensuring both comfort and connectivity. The automated soft-top roof, which can be operated at speeds up to 37 mph, adds a layer of convenience and style, making the CLE 53 Cabriolet a remarkable addition to the Mercedes-AMG lineup.
