McLaren 650S Can-Am Spider in Papaya Spark and Onyx Black

McLaren 650S Can-Am Spider in Papaya Spark and Onyx Black

McLaren has released photos with the other two liveries available for the limited-run 650S Can-Am Spider.

When McLaren Automotive introduced a couple of weeks ago its latest special edition based on the 650S Spider they only showed the Mars Red version, but now they have revealed the Papaya Spark and Onyx Black body finishes. A total of 50 cars will ever be made as a connection to the 50th anniversary of the inaugural Can-Am season of 1966.

As expected, the limited-run model from Woking was pampered by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and aside from these three bespoke liveries the cars also carbon fiber retractable hard top and a revised exhaust system made from polished stainless steel and equipped with four pipes that are hosted in a tweaked rear grille made from carbon fiber.

Depending on the exterior finish selected, the interior comes with a corresponding theme and is wrapped around in a combination of leather and Alcantara. It also has carbon fiber accents while on the driver’s door resides a special dedication plaque to denote this isn’t your “ordinary” 650S Spider.

In United Kingdom you can grab one for a cool £255,850 and in return you will be getting an open-top supercar that will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3 seconds and achieve a 204 mph (329 km/h) top speed achieved thanks to a mighty 650 PS & 678 Nm V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine wrapped around in a body tipping the scales at just 1,370 kg (dry weight).

Deliveries of the McLaren 650S Can-Am Spider are slated to begin in the spring of 2016.
