2026 Jetour G900 Unveiled: Hybrid SUV That Drives Through Water
At Auto Shanghai 2025, Jetour unveiled something that genuinely turns heads—the G900, a full-size SUV that can literally go off the beaten path and straight into the water. This is not just a rugged off-roader; it is an amphibious powerhouse built to redefine what adventure means for modern explorers.
The Jetour G900 is based on the company’s new GAIA intelligent off-road platform. What makes it so special is its amphibious ability, thanks to a system called iEM-O, a range extender that works in both land and aquatic environments. Mounted at the rear are two turbine propulsion units that help the SUV move through water by adjusting thrust for steering—very much like a boat.
On land, things get even more extreme. The G900 packs a quad-motor setup capable of producing a whopping 18,000 newton-meters of torque and 2,500 newtons of thrust. Add in adjustable suspension with up to 150 millimeters of travel and a ground clearance that reaches 350 millimeters, and you have a vehicle that is equally ready for a desert trail or a flooded street.
Inside, it is not all brawn. The G900 includes an artificial intelligence-powered cockpit, low-orbit satellite communications, and even an onboard oxygen generation system. Jetour clearly wants this vehicle to thrive in extreme off-grid conditions while keeping occupants comfortable and connected.
The design is inspired by maritime principles, and it shows. The contours, floating elements, and elevated ride height all scream utility, but it still feels upscale. The cabin is loaded with premium tech and comfort, blending the spirit of an explorer with the convenience of a luxury lounge.
