When you select the Ford GT in the video game, you’re presented with a spec sheet that seemingly spills all the beans: 630 horses, 539 lb-ft of torque, and a 2890-pound curb weight with a 43/57 front-rear distribution. That jibes with Ford’s promises of “over 600 horsepower” but puts it slightly behind the 661-hp Ferrari 488GTB and the 641-hp McLaren 650S. Hell, even the Corvette Z06, with 650 horses and an equal measure of torque, seems to outmuscle the GT, despite the Vette’s sub-$100,000 price, which is less than one-quarter of the GT’s rumored MSRP. Then again, that sub-3000-pound curb weight, if it’s legitimate, could handily make up the power difference.
