New 2025 Cadillac Optiq Small EV SUV Revealed

New 2025 Cadillac Optiq Small EV SUV Revealed

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ, Cadillac’s newest and most affordable electric vehicle, marks a significant addition to their lineup. Positioned as a compact luxury SUV, it’s slotted below the mid-size Lyriq and is expected to be based on the Ultium platform, similar to the Chevrolet Equinox EV. While specific details on the OPTIQ’s features remain sparse, it’s anticipated that its performance will align with the Equinox EV, potentially offering a single electric motor with 210 horsepower in base models and up to 290 hp in dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configurations. Its acceleration could be brisk, with the fastest models achieving an estimated sub-six-second 0-60 mph sprint.

Regarding range, while specifics are yet to be disclosed, a 300-mile range is plausible if it parallels the Equinox EV. The vehicle is also expected to support DC fast charging, adding significant range in a short time. The OPTIQ boasts a modern, stylish design, featuring the signature Cadillac grille, vertical daytime running lights, flush-fitting door handles, and 21-inch wheels. The rear design is distinguished by vertical, elongated taillights. Although interior details are not yet revealed, expectations point towards a high-quality cabin with Cadillac’s signature curved LED display.

The Cadillac OPTIQ is anticipated to be available in the USA for the 2025 model year, starting at over $40,000, positioning it competitively among luxury electric vehicle options.
