Australian website Motoring reports that Tickford’s Melbourne Modification Center, co-located with parent company ProDrive in Campbellfield, is opening this week with a catalog of $21,135-worth (AU) of upgrades for the current-generation Ford Ranger. Locations in Sydney and Brisbane are slated to open in late-2016 and early-2017, respectively.

Of Tickford’s available Ford Ranger upgrades, the powertrain upgrade package is the most expensive at $7,995. It ships with a Tickford driveline warranty, plus a high-flow air filter, intercooler, piping, 2.5-inch catback exhaust, and an ECU remap with a custom diesel calibration, all of which equates to a 15-percent power increase and a 20-percent bump in torque. Also offered for the current Ford Ranger are a $4530 wheel, tire, and suspension upgrade featuring 20-inch rims and Bilstein dampers with King springs, and a full interior upgrade package priced at nearly $4,000.
Tickford will eventually sell certain Ford Ranger components individually or in smaller packages, according to Motoring. A Tickford damper kit will retail at $1,285 including installation, for instance. Information regarding products for other Ford models is forthcoming, although upgrades for the Everest SUV are expected.
“Everyone at Tickford is excited to be providing Australian automotive enthusiasts with a new option for vehicle personalization, while ensuring we maintain the strong engineering roots of the brand’s previous incarnations,” said CEO Tim Edwards, who also serves as Team Manager at ProDrive Racing Australia. “We’ve been working for nearly two years, away from the public eye, to ensure we developed a strong business model with a set of guiding principles which allows us to develop and deliver premium products.”
