Ferrari Replica so good even Ferrari approved it

An amazing 1967 Ferrari 330 P4 replica/recreation has just come up for sale in San Francisco. The classic supercar was custom built by a professional father and son team at Jim Carpenter’s Italian Design & Racing who have a solid credibility for building custom specification Ferrari’s. The Ferrari 330 P4 project pays tribute to the original #23 Ferrari P4 that won the legendary 1967 Daytona 24 Hour race. Although the super car is a recreation, it is actually based on a donor vehicle which was a 1965 Ferrari 330GT. The Carpenter duo added a race performance exhaust with mufflers to the original 4.0-liter Ferrari engine that produces 340 hp.

The gorgeous engine is mated to a G50 5-speed manual transmission that easily handles the extra power output. The body was created entirely from hand laid carbon fiber, kevlar and fiberglass composite. The supercar also features a custom built sporty suspension that combines a mix of modified Ferrari 308 components with specially designed pieces. The recreation is so good, in fact, that it was used on a display stand in by Ferrari for a photoshoot celebrating the anniversary of the original winning race car. The Ferrari 330 P4 recreation is 100% street legal, is registered as a 1965 Ferrari 330, and has an asking price of $199,999.
