2025 Cadillac Optiq Officially Revealed in China

The 2025 Cadillac Optiq has officially entered the Chinese automotive market, marking a significant milestone for General Motors in its collaboration with SAIC. This luxury electric crossover is poised to redefine the standards of electric mobility and premium design in one of the world’s largest automotive markets.

Built on GM’s versatile Ultium architecture, which it shares with the Chevrolet Blazer EV, the Cadillac Optiq showcases a harmonious blend of performance, technology, and luxury. It is offered in two distinct variants: the Standard and the Long Range. The Standard model is equivalent to a luxury equipment level, while the Long Range version offers a sportier trim with enhanced capabilities.

The Optiq’s design is striking, with its vibrant orange exterior and a cabin that echoes the sophisticated aesthetics of its sibling, the Cadillac Lyriq. It features a 33-inch curved display that dominates the dashboard, providing both infotainment and vehicle diagnostics in a sleek, modern interface. The comfort inside the cabin is elevated with heated and ventilated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and an ambient lighting system that offers a choice of 126 colors, ensuring a bespoke atmosphere for every drive.

Performance-wise, the Standard version is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 241 horsepower, achieving 0 to 62 mph in 7 seconds. It boasts a 68.4 kWh battery pack that promises up to 333 miles on a single charge. On the other hand, the Long Range variant features an all-wheel-drive setup powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 283 horsepower, capable of a sub-6 second acceleration time and a range of up to 373 miles thanks to a larger 79.7 kWh battery.

Exclusively manufactured at the SAIC-GM Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, the Optiq is currently available through Cadillac’s exclusive network of IQ stores across China, with the Standard model starting at approximately $33,105 and the Long Range at $37,250. General Motors also offers a lifetime warranty on the vehicle’s electric systems among other incentives, ensuring a compelling package for the discerning electric vehicle buyer.
