2024 Nissan GT-R T-spec Takumi and Skyline Edition US-Spec Revealed

2024 Nissan GT-R T-spec Takumi and Skyline Edition US-Spec Revealed

The newest update in the Nissan GT-R saga introduces two unique, limited edition models as part of the 2024 lineup. These editions, known as the T-spec Takumi Edition and the Skyline Edition, are a nod to the enduring legacy of the GT-R in Nissan’s range, a car known for its remarkable performance over the years.

The T-spec Takumi Edition celebrates the skilled takumi craftsmen who meticulously assemble each GT-R’s VR38DETT engine by hand. This model is distinguished by a special engine badge with red writing and a gold VIN plate in the engine area, signifying the extra care taken in achieving the engine’s precise balance and tolerance levels. This makes the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine models even more appealing.

What sets the T-spec Takumi Edition apart further is its unique Midnight Purple exterior, a throwback to some of the most memorable special editions in the Skyline/GT-R series, along with an exclusive Mori Green interior.

In terms of upgrades, like the standard 2024 GT-R T-spec, the Takumi Edition benefits from several high-performance enhancements. These include the GT-R NISMO’s carbon-ceramic brakes, gold-painted NISMO RAYS® 20-inch forged wheels, improved Vehicle Dynamic Control from NISMO, and broader front fenders.

The Skyline Edition, on the other hand, introduces a cherished name from the GT-R lineage to the U.S. market, drawing inspiration from Japan’s picturesque skylines. It builds upon the GT-R Premium model and features a striking Bayside Blue exterior paired with a new Sora Blue interior, reviving a color that was last seen on the R34-generation GT-R and brought back for the 50th anniversary edition in 2019.

Information on the prices and specific details of the 2024 Nissan GT-R T-spec Takumi Edition and Skyline Edition will be shared later. These models are set to be available in very limited quantities at selected Nissan dealers in the U.S. this summer.
