2018 VW Tiguan Allspace – Video

The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan debuted on our shores in January, and now the European version is on its way. The long-wheelbase Tiguan, known as the Tiguan Allspace in Europe, will make an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show this month.

Unlike the U.S. market, which only receives the long-wheelbase version of the Tiguan, Europe receives both standard and long-wheelbase models. The Tiguan Allspace is 8.5 inches longer than the standard model, and its wheelbase is about 4 inches bigger. These larger dimensions free up space inside the cabin for a 5+2 seating arrangement.

In Europe, the Tiguan Allspace boasts a leather steering wheel, LED taillights, lane assist, Connectivity Package with phone and USB hookup, adjustable cargo floor, and other features as part of the base Trendline model. Comfortline models receive an electrically powered tailgate and silver roof rails, while Highline models get full LED headlights and keyless entry and start. Some of the Tiguan Allspace’s more advanced features include a head-up display, 9.2-inch display with gesture control, and a configurable home display screen.

The U.S. Tiguan debuted with only one engine option: a 2.0-liter turbo-four making 184 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. But Europe’s version receives a total of six engines, three of which are diesels. The other three engines are powered by gas and deliver anywhere between around 150 hp to around 220 hp.

The Tiguan Allspace launches in Europe in September, while the U.S. model goes on sale this summer.
