You Will Not Believe What Chery Did to the New QQ

Chery has brought the QQ nameplate back in a bold and futuristic form at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, and it is unlike anything we have seen from them before. The New QQ now steps fully into the electric vehicle segment, combining modern aesthetics, digital technology, and urban practicality in one stylish package.

The New QQ immediately grabs attention with its black and white two-tone paint and its rounded, almost sci-fi exterior design. The front end features a sleek LED lighting signature that wraps across the width of the car, with a closed-off grille that hints at its electric nature. Its digital side mirrors and flush door handles continue the theme of minimalism and aerodynamic efficiency. The wheels, with a unique plus-sign pattern, push the design language into futuristic territory.

Inside, the story is just as impressive. Chery has stretched the wheelbase to 2750 millimeters, providing more space for passengers. The dashboard is dominated by a 15.6-inch floating screen that acts as the central hub for infotainment and vehicle controls. Powered by a 128TOPS AI chip, the system supports voice control, customizable ambient lighting in 256 colors, and even wireless charging at 50 watts. There is also a 540-degree panoramic imaging system and an L2-level driver assistance suite, offering added safety and semi-autonomous capabilities.

Powering the New QQ is a 40 kilowatt electric motor matched to a lithium iron phosphate battery pack sourced from Gotion High-tech. While detailed performance figures are yet to be shared, this setup targets the daily needs of city drivers looking for affordable, clean mobility.

Production is set to begin in the first half of 2026. Chery is clearly aiming this model at young drivers and urban dwellers who want something fresh, functional, and future-forward.
