Wave Maker: The TRD Pro Color That Changes Everything

Toyota is adding a splash of excitement to its TRD Pro lineup with a brand-new color called Wave Maker. Developed by Toyota’s Calty Design team, this new hue is bold, fresh, and full of personality. It is the eleventh exclusive paint option created for the TRD Pro family and will be one of only five colors offered for 2025. Joining Wave Maker are Ice Cap, Magnetic Gray, Midnight Black, and Mudbath.

According to Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager of Calty Design in Ann Arbor, Wave Maker is meant to reflect unexplored adventure, from icy terrains to places even beyond our planet. It has a glacial, almost cosmic vibe that feels like it belongs on the edge of the map.

Visually, the color leans toward a brighter version of Heritage Blue, which is already popular on models like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser. But Wave Maker stands out thanks to its vibrant turquoise tones, which give it an electric yet earthy presence.

This new shade will be available on the TRD Pro variants of the Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting later this year. Toyota has not officially stated if it will be an extra-cost option, but if it is, expect to pay anywhere between $350 and $475.
