The Smart #5 BRABUS Super Edition turned heads at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, and for good reason. This all-electric performance SUV is not just bold in design, but also marks the most powerful vehicle ever created under the Smart brand. Born from the collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Geely, the BRABUS version of the Smart #5 brings performance, style, and luxury together in one futuristic package.

Under the hood—or more accurately, beneath the body—are dual electric motors that generate a combined output of 475 kilowatts, or 646 metric horsepower. That translates to a blistering 0 to 100 kilometers per hour sprint in just 3.8 seconds. It is fast, it is confident, and it is ready to challenge high-performance electric vehicles like the Tesla Model Y Performance and Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

Powering the Smart #5 BRABUS is a 100 kilowatt-hour battery pack supported by an 800-volt electrical architecture. Thanks to this setup, the vehicle can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes with ultra-fast 400 kilowatt DC charging capabilities. On a full charge, you can expect a WLTP range of up to 540 kilometers—plenty for road trips and daily commutes alike.

The exterior design is aggressive yet refined, featuring an aerodynamic body kit, 21-inch BRABUS wheels, red brake calipers, and subtle yet striking BRABUS logos. Inside, it is packed with upscale features including dual 13-inch OLED displays, a 20-speaker 2000-watt Sennheiser sound system, heated seats for both rows, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. And yes, there is a panoramic glass roof to bring the outdoors inside.

A unique BRABUS mode sharpens throttle response and adds a simulated engine sound to amplify the sporty vibe. It is a clever trick that enhances driver engagement without compromising on the electric experience.

Pricing starts at 60,900 euros in Europe and 329,900 yuan in China. It will roll out in Europe by the end of 2025, with more markets to follow.
