One Ferrari Daytona SP3 Was Built After Sell-Out – Here’s Why
Ferrari has just pulled the wraps off a truly one-of-a-kind creation – a specially customized Daytona SP3 that is not like any other. Built through Ferrari’s exclusive Tailor Made program, this particular Daytona SP3 will not be heading to a collector’s private garage. Instead, it is going to auction, with all proceeds supporting the Ferrari Foundation’s educational initiatives. Every dollar raised will be put toward rebuilding futures, quite literally.
What makes this car even more special is that Ferrari had already sold out the entire production run of 599 units. This vehicle, however, is numbered 599 plus 1, a nod to its unique status beyond the original allocation. The retail price for a standard Daytona SP3 started at around 2.25 million dollars, but this bespoke example is expected to fetch closer to 5 million dollars when it hits the block with RM Sotheby’s during Monterey Car Week in California.
The car features a bold visual treatment, combining a two-tone carbon fiber body with Giallo Modena yellow. The design splits the car in half, with one side raw carbon and the other in brilliant yellow, resembling a comic book villain in the best way possible. Even the Ferrari logo stretches dramatically across the upper body in yellow—a design cue that has never been seen before.
Inside, Ferrari used sustainable fabric made from recycled tires. It is finished with an exclusive Prancing Horse pattern. The dashboard and steering column use the same high-performance carbon fiber found in Formula 1 racing cars, connecting the track and the road in an elegant, functional way.
Underneath, this Daytona SP3 stays true to its roots. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine making 829 horsepower and 514 pound-feet of torque. No hybrid system, just pure mechanical fury. Zero to 60 miles per hour takes about 2.8 seconds, and top speed climbs past 211 miles per hour.
This Ferrari is not just a collector’s dream—it is a symbol of generosity, performance, and design all wrapped in one unforgettable package.
