Nissan Just Made the Armada Faster—Meet the 2026 Nismo Beast
Nissan is finally giving its full-size sport utility vehicle a performance twist. Meet the 2026 Nissan Armada Nismo, the first time this flagship gets the Nismo treatment in the United States. Built for drivers who crave power and style, the Armada Nismo blends bold design elements with real performance upgrades that go beyond just appearances.
From the outside, it is clear this is not your standard Armada. The aggressive front and rear bumpers, wide side skirts, and a unique rear tailgate are all accented with signature red touches. There is even a special Stealth Grey paint job paired with red trim and black fender flares. You also get a prominent diffuser, a roof spoiler, and 22-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in performance all-season tires.
The interior matches the drama. Nissan gave it black and red quilted leather seats, red stitching, and a flat-bottom steering wheel with red trim. The seats feature adjustable bolsters to better support you when cornering hard, and the red accents continue across the dashboard and center armrest.
Power comes from a retuned 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine now producing 460 horsepower, thanks to revised engine mapping, a sport exhaust, and fine-tuned valve clearances. It is still paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels through a full-time all-wheel-drive system.
Handling is sharper too. The electric power steering has been recalibrated for better feedback, and the air suspension now responds quicker for more control. Despite all the sporty upgrades, towing capacity remains at 8,500 pounds, so it is still as practical as ever.
Pricing is not official yet, but it is expected to be in the same ballpark as the Pro-4X trim, which starts at $75,750. Nissan says more information will be available closer to the SUV’s launch this fall.
