Letech Builds the Ultimate Grenadier—Off-Road Monster Now in Production
Ineos is taking rugged off-road adventure to the next level with a newly announced production version of the Grenadier prototype first shown last year. Teaming up with German off-road expert Letech, Ineos is transforming the already capable Grenadier and Grenadier Quartermaster Trialmasters into even more extreme machines.
This upgraded version features portal axles with offset wheel hubs, a heavy-duty five-link suspension system, and a set of massive 37-inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch forged beadlock alloy wheels from Hutchinson Industries. The result? A serious boost in off-road performance.
The portal axle setup increases the Grenadier’s ground clearance by 7.3 inches, taking it to a total of 17.7 inches. Wading depth also jumps from 31.5 inches to an impressive 41.3 inches. That means more freedom on rugged trails, deeper water crossings, and better control over rough terrain.
Letech did not stop there. Additional upgrades include a tire pressure control system, high-performance braking, a robust front winch system, a spare tire carrier, extended fenders, off-road running boards, a multi-function rear ladder with a jerry can mount, roof rack, LED spotlights, and exclusive badging.
Power still comes from BMW’s 3.0-liter diesel or gasoline engines, depending on your pick. Inside, Letech adds creature comforts like heated seats, premium leather, a quality sound system, privacy glass, and carpeted floor mats—all based on the Trialmaster trim.
Pricing starts at €170,000 for the Grenadier and €171,000 for the Quartermaster, before tax. That is around $198,765 and $199,918 using today’s rates. These extreme off-roaders are currently only available in Europe, but with over 1,000 interested buyers after last year’s reveal, we hope some will make their way to the United States.
