Infiniti QX60 2026 Gets a Makeover, But Is It Enough?
Infiniti is not walking away from luxury just yet. Even with budget constraints hanging over Nissan, the 2026 Infiniti QX60 arrives with a few updates that show the brand is not giving up the fight. This mid-size luxury SUV now comes with a Sport trim, adding some visual flair to the lineup, though it is mostly skin-deep. There are no major engineering changes or performance upgrades under the hood, but there is just enough to keep things interesting.
Instead of returning to the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine, Infiniti is sticking with the 2.0-liter turbocharged variable-compression four-cylinder. This powerplant continues to deliver 268 horsepower and 286 pound-feet of torque. That is a 27-horsepower drop from the outgoing V6, but torque climbs by 16 pound-feet. The nine-speed automatic transmission remains unchanged and sends power to all four wheels on the new Sport trim. Lower trims still come standard with front-wheel drive.
To set the Sport model apart, Infiniti gave it a more aggressive grille design, blacked-out exterior accents, and unique 20-inch wheels. A discreet “S” badge on the tailgate completes the look. Interestingly, Infiniti has removed the rear badge below the wiper on both the Sport and the top-tier Autograph trims. The Autograph now includes a refreshed grille as well.
Inspired by the larger QX80, Infiniti has added more LEDs in the daytime running lights, moved the red rear reflectors lower, and reshaped the rear bumper to better match the body color. Even the base Pure trim now rides on 20-inch wheels instead of the previous 18-inch set. Luxe and Autograph trims feature new alloy wheel designs of the same size.
The Autograph trim goes the extra mile by including a light curtain that projects the Infiniti logo and abstract patterns on the ground when the vehicle is unlocked. You also get a new Deep Emerald paint choice and a two-tone look with a black roof on both the Sport and Autograph trims.
Interior changes are more subtle. There is a new Stone Gray interior option, while the Sport features Dusk Blue leather seats, a black headliner, and open-pore ash wood with metal accents. This design is shared with the Autograph, while the Pure and Luxe trims stick to a metallic weave trim.
One standout tech upgrade is the new surround-view camera system, which is now standard from the Luxe trim and above. The Luxe and Sport trims also include a 16-speaker Klipsch audio system, while the Autograph can be fitted with a 20-speaker version. The Autograph also unlocks optional ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which handles acceleration, braking, and steering on specific highways.
The 2026 QX60 arrives at dealerships this summer. Captain’s chairs in the second row come standard on the Sport and Autograph trims, while other versions feature a bench seat for seven-passenger capacity. Pricing details will be revealed closer to launch, but the current model starts at $50,200 and tops out at $66,150 before options.
And if style is more your thing than practicality, Infiniti is preparing to launch the coupe-style QX65 soon. Expect it to sit above the QX60 in price and deliver a sportier silhouette.
