Fiat Revives a Legend: The New Grande Panda 4×4 Concept Is Wild
Fiat is bringing some rugged energy back into its lineup with the new Grande Panda 4×4 Manifesto concept. While the standard Grande Panda already offers a quirky electric option and a mild-hybrid version with 108 horsepower from a 1.2 liter gasoline engine, this new concept takes things a few steps further.
The Manifesto pays tribute to the original Panda 4×4 from the 1980s, a compact legend known for being fun, efficient, and surprisingly capable off the beaten path. Fiat is reviving that spirit but adding a modern twist. Up front, the 4×4 Manifesto still uses the same 111 horsepower electric motor from the standard Grande Panda. What makes the difference is an additional electric axle in the rear, giving it true all-wheel-drive capability—without the weight or complexity of a traditional driveshaft or transfer case.
Visually, the changes are bold. The Manifesto rides higher, has chunkier all-terrain tires, steel wheels, roof rack, and rugged accessory lights. It looks ready to take on trails, city curbs, or anything in between.
This is not just a concept for show. Fiat is clearly testing the waters to see if enthusiasts and urban adventurers alike want something more than just a soft-roader. And if interest grows, this 4×4 could become more than a dream.
