Explorer Tremor 2026: Ford’s New Rugged SUV is Ready for the Trails!

Explorer Tremor 2026: Ford’s New Rugged SUV is Ready for the Trails!

Ford is adding another name to its growing lineup of rugged, off-road ready vehicles. This time, it is the Explorer that is getting the Tremor treatment, bringing it in line with models like the Maverick, Expedition, and F-150. Built for adventure, the 2026 Explorer Tremor gets a boost in capability, comfort, and style without going overboard on flash.

Riding one inch higher thanks to upgraded springs and sway bars, the Tremor is ready for uneven terrain. It also features all-terrain Bridgestone Dueler tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels, orange tow hooks, and matching orange accents that Ford calls “electric spice.” The result is a bold look that stands out without trying too hard.

Under the hood, buyers can choose between two engines. The standard 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 produces 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. For those looking for a more balanced option, a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 300 horsepower will also be available. No matter the engine, every Tremor comes with all-wheel drive, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and skid plates for added protection underneath.

Inside the cabin, the Explorer Tremor is packed with tech. It comes with Ford’s Digital Experience system and CoPilot 360 2.0 Assist. You can upgrade to get massaging front seats, a 14-speaker B&O sound system, and BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free driving assistance.

Ford has not confirmed pricing yet, but it is expected to land in the low $50,000s. The Explorer ST currently tops out at $56,465, so the Tremor might slot just below that.
