All-New 2026 Jeep Cherokee: Bold Design and Big Changes

All-New 2026 Jeep Cherokee: Bold Design and Big Changes

Jeep is bringing back a familiar name, and it is shaping up to be something exciting. After retiring the fifth-generation Cherokee in 2023, Jeep is preparing a full comeback for the 2026 model year. This new Cherokee is not just a facelift—it is a complete reimagining of what a mid-size off-roader can be.

The design pulls inspiration from recent Jeep releases like the Wagoneer S and the updated Compass. Up front, you will notice the bold seven-slot grille Jeep is known for, along with muscular lines that stay true to the Cherokee’s adventurous roots. While the rear is still under wraps, the overall profile suggests a rugged and modern look that fits right in with the rest of the family.

Underneath, the 2026 Cherokee rides on the STLA Large Transverse platform from Stellantis. That opens the door for a mix of powertrains, including a confirmed hybrid, with gasoline-only and all-electric versions also expected. If it follows the formula of the Wagoneer S, we might see electric models with large battery packs and dual motors—although likely with less horsepower than the Wagoneer S.

Jeep’s CEO Bob Broderdorf stated the new Cherokee will offer more value, choices, and technology than ever, positioned perfectly between the Compass and Grand Cherokee. And yes, this one is expected to be sold in the United States.

The official debut will happen later this year, and sales are set for 2026. Jeep fans, this one is worth watching.
