All-Electric Porsche Cayenne Rendered: Everything You Need to Know
Earlier this week, Porsche pulled the wraps off a camouflaged prototype of the upcoming Cayenne, offering a clear look at what is coming next. Thanks to a set of digital renderings from Kolesa, we now have a much better idea of what the all-electric Cayenne could look like once it drops the disguise.
This will not be just a facelifted version. It will be an entirely separate model running on electric power. The gasoline-powered Cayenne will remain in production through at least 2030, but this new electric version signals a big step toward Porsche’s electric future. The front design keeps that familiar Porsche DNA, but there are key differences. Thankfully, Porsche decided not to go with a split headlight setup. Instead, it uses a single unit headlight configuration in its traditional spot. Below, the bumper design stands out with a bold contrasting insert and vertical slats that make the front look wider and more aggressive.
Along the sides, the profile is smooth and clean, just like other Porsche crossovers. You will notice the use of frameless windows and a sloped lower trim line that adds some visual interest. The traditional door handles remain for an ergonomic grip, and the overall shape keeps the brand’s signature curves intact. The rear design is perhaps the boldest part of the vehicle, with the taillights now integrated into the rear glass, creating a futuristic and seamless aesthetic.
Underneath, the electric Cayenne is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), shared with other advanced Audi and Porsche models. It runs on 800-volt technology, meaning ultra-fast charging and top-tier performance. While Porsche has not confirmed specs yet, insiders suggest that the range-topping model could produce up to 1,000 horsepower. That would be a massive jump from the current 739 horsepower in the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid.
Even though the prototype looks nearly ready for production, Porsche is holding off the full reveal until 2026. So for now, this is just a preview of what might become the most powerful and advanced Cayenne yet.
