2025 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Debuts With Shocking Performance in Korea
The Seoul Mobility Show 2025 had plenty of head-turning debuts, but the spotlight was squarely on the reveal of the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe. Mercedes-Benz Korea introduced the second-generation high-performance coupe to an eager crowd, offering a blend of muscular design, daily usability, and serious speed.
Under the hood, the AMG GT 55 4MATIC Plus comes packed with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine, pushing out 476 horsepower and 700 newton-meters of torque. Set to launch in Korea this May, it starts at 205.6 million Korean won, making it a serious option for enthusiasts looking for both style and substance.
But it does not stop there. The real showstopper was the AMG GT 63 S E Performance. This plug-in hybrid pairs the same 4.0-liter V8 with a powerful electric motor to deliver a jaw-dropping 805 horsepower. It launches from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.8 seconds. You read that right—2.8 seconds. This model is expected to hit the Korean market in the second half of the year.
Performance aside, Mercedes has also paid attention to practicality. The coupe now includes a foldable 2+2 seating setup, making it easier to live with on a daily basis. It is still a performance monster, but now it plays a little nicer with everyday life.
The Mercedes booth was packed with more treats. Alongside the AMG GT Coupe were the AMG CLE 53 4MATIC Plus Coupe and the ultra-exclusive AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC Plus Edition 1. Mercedes-Benz Korea also used the event to highlight its MANUFAKTUR program, offering exclusive exterior colors and top-tier interior materials for those wanting a more personalized touch.
