2025 Defender Trophy: Off-Road Challenge with a Life-Changing Prize

2025 Defender Trophy: Off-Road Challenge with a Life-Changing Prize

The 2025 Defender Trophy Edition is back with a mission that goes far beyond just off-road excitement. Land Rover is inviting adventure-seekers from across the United Kingdom to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime challenge—an epic driving and navigation competition that is as rugged as the Defender itself. But this is not just about adrenaline and mud-splattered victories. It is about making a real difference. This year’s challenge is deeply connected to wildlife conservation efforts through its partnership with Tusk.

Only 10 teams will be chosen for the ultimate off-road showdown. Each of them will pilot a Defender 130 across challenging terrain in September, and the team that claims the top spot will win a unique conservation expedition to Kenya. This immersive journey includes time at the Borana Conservancy and the chance to engage directly with projects supported by Tusk. The mission is clear—celebrate resilience, test limits, and raise awareness for conservation all at once.

Participants will navigate unfamiliar routes, complete grueling tasks, and push themselves in a purpose-built Defender. These vehicles are more than just rugged—they are equipped with technology and gear built for the wild, echoing the spirit of adventure Land Rover stands for.

This challenge is not only a tribute to the Defender’s legacy but a statement of intent. It proves that capability should serve a purpose. And that purpose this time is helping protect the world’s most vulnerable species.

Applications are now open for residents of the United Kingdom, with the challenge set to take place later this year. The competition is part driving, part strategy, and all heart.
