You Will Not Believe the Tech in the Chery Fulwin A9 Hybrid Executive Sedan!

The Chery Fulwin A9 is finally stepping into the spotlight with blind orders now open following its big reveal at the Chery Intelligent Strategy Conference. Slated to start customer deliveries soon, this executive four-seater sedan brings a bold combination of design, advanced technology, and performance. Priced at around 400,000 Chinese yuan, which converts to roughly 55,300 United States dollars, the Fulwin A9 enters the plug-in hybrid segment with a strong presence.

This sleek plug-in hybrid sedan measures 5018 millimeters long, 1965 millimeters wide, and 1500 millimeters high, with a wheelbase of 3000 millimeters. Depending on the trim, curb weight is either 2085 kilograms or 2230 kilograms. Powering the Fulwin A9 is a 1.5-liter engine that produces 115 kilowatts, or about 154 horsepower. It is matched with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack from Gotion. The lowest reported fuel consumption is 0.52 liters per 100 kilometers, with a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour.

One standout feature is the Falcon 700 system, developed in-house by Chery. It is packed with 27 sensors including lidar, radars, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. This system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip and supported by a large artificial intelligence model. It handles everything from highway navigation to automated parking and even summoning the vehicle in tight spots.

The Fulwin A9 rolls on 19-inch or 20-inch wheels and offers an approach angle of 13 degrees and a departure angle of 15 degrees. Test drives are expected to begin this month, with pre-sales in April and a full launch by May or June. This car is shaping up to be a major player in its segment.
