The GR Yaris has always felt like a car built by people who actually drive hard, and today’s Aero performance package doubles down on that feeling. Toyota’s motorsport engineers took lessons from real competition and turned them into six factory pieces you can order right from the showroom. Up front, a ducted aluminum hood helps pull hot air out of the engine bay so power stays consistent on repeat laps. A new front lip spoiler trims front lift so the steering feels calmer when you are charging down a straight and leaning on the brakes.

Along the sides, unique fender ducts release the high-pressure air that loads up in the wheel arches during nose-dive braking. It sounds nerdy, but the payoff is simple: more stable turn-in and a car that settles faster as you tip it into a corner. Beneath the car, a fuel-tank undercover smooths the airflow, the kind of detail you usually see on race cars because it matters at speed.

Out back sits the hero piece: a large adjustable rear wing that you can set for more downforce on a track day or relax for a highway drive. Rear bumper ducts reduce the “parachute” effect, cutting drag and helping the car stay planted when you trail the brakes. It is the kind of small-gain-everywhere philosophy that makes the whole car feel more tied down rather than just “adding a wing.”

Power remains exactly what you want from a compact rally-bred hot hatch: a 1.6-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder with 224 kilowatts, 304 metric horsepower, and 400 newton-meters of torque feeding all-wheel drive through either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic tuned by Toyota Gazoo Racing. The Aero package can be ordered on the RC and RZ “High performance” trims in Japan, with pricing aligned to the base car plus the cost of the package. It is a proper factory path to a more stable GR Yaris without going full aftermarket.
