The Future of Luxury? 2026 AMG S 63 E Performance Rendered!
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has always been the benchmark for full-size luxury sedans. Since the W116 generation launched in 1972, the S-Class has pushed boundaries in comfort, technology, and performance. Over the years, it evolved into a lineup filled with elegance and power—especially when you add the Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach variants into the mix.
The current generation, known as the W223, made its debut in late 2020 and has already given us the incredible Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance. This powerhouse pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor and a 13.1 kilowatt-hour battery pack. The combined output? An astonishing 791 horsepower and 1,055 pound-feet of torque. With the AMG Driver’s Package, this luxury sedan can surge to a top speed of 180 miles per hour.
But even perfection needs a refresh. That is exactly what Mercedes-Benz is working on right now. Spy photos recently captured camouflaged test vehicles hinting at a facelift for the 2026 model. While the updates will be subtle, enthusiasts should keep an eye on the redesigned lighting. Mercedes is embracing its “starry” design language, and future models—including the S 63 E Performance—may feature signature LED stars embedded in both the headlights and taillights.
Renderings created by digital artist Nikita Chuicko from Kolesa bring this concept to life. His vision imagines two star-shaped LED elements inside each headlight and three in each taillight, giving the S-Class a more futuristic and distinct look.
Beyond lighting tweaks, Mercedes may also revise the grille, side mirrors, and wheel options. Mechanically, we are unlikely to see massive changes. However, a larger battery could be on the way, potentially improving the vehicle’s all-electric driving range.
As Mercedes moves closer to revealing this facelifted model, fans of the brand should get ready for a refreshed version that keeps the luxury sedan at the top of its game. Whether you love the tech, the comfort, or the AMG-level speed, there is something coming for everyone.
