Škoda Elroq RS Breaks Cover: Dual Motors, Big Range, Bold Style

Škoda is raising the bar in its electric lineup with the all-new Elroq RS, the most performance-oriented version of its compact electric sport utility vehicle. This model combines everyday practicality with a clear sporty edge, giving drivers something that feels dynamic without stepping too far outside the family-car zone.

Built on the modular electric platform, the Elroq RS features dual electric motors producing a combined output of 220 kilowatts. That translates into all-wheel drive and confident acceleration, especially when you are merging onto the freeway or navigating twisty roads. It hits 100 kilometers per hour in 6.5 seconds, which is quick for a compact sport utility vehicle. And thanks to its 82 kilowatt-hour battery, it is expected to deliver a range of over 500 kilometers, depending on driving style and conditions.

On the outside, it is clear that the Elroq RS carries that sporty Škoda character. Black design elements, unique front and rear bumpers, and aerodynamically optimized wheels up to 21 inches in size give it a more aggressive look compared to the standard Elroq. It does not scream for attention, but it does let people know it means business.

Inside, the cabin is practical and focused on the driver, with a generous 470-liter luggage capacity that expands to 1,580 liters when the rear seats are folded down. There is a 5.3-inch digital cockpit behind the steering wheel, and a large 13-inch central display that handles navigation, media, and vehicle settings. Materials throughout the cabin are sporty but sustainable, using recycled textiles and vegan-friendly materials.

The RS trim level also adds upgraded driver assistance and safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping support, and advanced parking automation. It is meant to be a daily driver that is not only comfortable but also capable in more spirited driving scenarios.

Škoda plans to launch the Elroq RS in Europe later this year, as part of its growing electric vehicle portfolio. The Elroq lineup slots in below the Enyaq and will likely appeal to urban families and commuters looking for something that balances space, tech, and all-weather capability with a little extra excitement.
