Rare Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Book Launch at Lake Como – Only 33 Ever Made
Alfa Romeo drew a global spotlight at Lake Como, standing out with a remarkable display of heritage vehicles and the breathtaking new 33 Stradale. Set against the scenic backdrop of Villa Sucota, this special event transformed the historic villa into the “Casa Alfa Romeo,” a celebration of over a century of Italian automotive passion.
One of the biggest moments came with the official presentation of the new book Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a detailed editorial piece that dives deep into the creation of this one-of-a-kind automobile. Crafted in only 33 units, the new 33 Stradale pays homage to its 1960s predecessor while pushing modern performance and design boundaries. The book, packed with never-before-seen photos and behind-the-scenes insights, launches globally on June 10, 2025, in both Italian and English languages for €85, offering 248 pages of rich storytelling.
Thousands of collectors, designers, and fans from around the world gathered for the 2025 FuoriConcorso. With a theme focused on “Velocissimo – Italian Race Cars,” the event featured legendary Alfa Romeo models including the 1930 6C 1750 Gran Sport, 1951 GP Tipo 159 Alfetta, 1965 Giulia TZ2, and the wild 1975 33 TT 12. These rare vehicles, sourced from both Alfa Romeo’s official museum and exclusive private collections, painted a vivid timeline of the brand’s racing legacy.
Yet, it was the reborn 33 Stradale that stole the show. Combining performance ready for the track with comfort suitable for daily driving, this custom-built masterpiece radiates both beauty and power. At Friday night’s gathering, the creators of the book shared personal anecdotes about the project—what it took to dream up, engineer, and bring this modern legend to life. It was not just a story of building a car—it was about reviving emotion, risk-taking, and belief in a vision that redefines what modern Alfa Romeo stands for.
With contributions from key Alfa Romeo figures such as former Chief Executive Officer Jean-Philippe Imparato, museum curator Lorenzo Ardizio, head designer Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, and marketing and product leads, the book captures the car’s design philosophy and bold approach to craftsmanship. It is more than a coffee-table piece—it is a declaration of Alfa’s spirit to dream big and go beyond the ordinary.
