New Mazda EZ-60 Revealed: 255hp SUV With Huge Tech Upgrades
Mazda has just introduced a bold step into the electric and hybrid world with the launch of the new EZ-60 in China. This mid-size SUV is offered in both a battery electric version and a range-extended model, giving drivers the freedom to choose what fits their lifestyle best. At 4.85 meters long, the EZ-60 carries a confident presence on the road, while pricing that starts at just 119,900 yuan makes it one of the most competitive options in its segment.
Under the hood, or rather at the rear axle, every EZ-60 is powered by a single 190 kilowatt motor, which translates to about 255 horsepower. The all-electric version pairs this with a 77.94 kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery that delivers up to 600 kilometers on the Chinese test cycle. For those who want more flexibility, the range-extended model combines the same electric motor with a 1.5 liter gasoline generator and a 31.73 kilowatt-hour battery, good for 200 kilometers of electric driving and a combined range close to 1,000 kilometers.
The interior is where the EZ-60 makes a strong impression. The cockpit is wrapped around the driver with a 26.45 inch 5K widescreen display that dominates the dash. A 50 inch augmented reality head-up display comes standard, with an even larger 100 inch version available. Music lovers will appreciate the optional 23-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, while safety and convenience are enhanced with level 2 driver assistance including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, and city navigation assist.
Mazda plans to bring this SUV to Europe in 2026 under the name CX-6e, but for now it is exclusive to the Chinese market. With its mix of advanced technology, flexible powertrain choices, and aggressive pricing, the EZ-60 shows how Mazda is adapting quickly to meet the demands of the new era.
