Mercedes Vision V – A 65-Inch Screen and Luxury Like You’ve Never Seen
The Mercedes-Benz Vision V is not just a concept vehicle—it is a statement of what the future of chauffeured luxury can be. Designed to merge exceptional space with the highest level of exclusivity, it blends the craftsmanship of traditional materials with modern technology in ways that surprise and impress. Think rich Nappa leather and burr wood meeting cutting-edge digital experiences, all wrapped in a limousine built to deliver comfort like never before.
After its world premiere in Shanghai back in April, the Vision V began a global Grand Tour. Its first stop was Dubai, and now it has made its way to the United States. Following a visit to Los Angeles, it will be on display at the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge during Pebble Beach Automotive Week in California from August 14 to 17, 2025.
Mercedes-Benz chose this event for good reason—it is where the world’s most exceptional cars gather, and the Vision V fits right in. The brand is introducing two fresh entertainment features to elevate the already immersive experience. The first is an updated Karaoke mode, one of the Vision V’s seven interactive worlds. Initially a hit in China with a localized song, it now includes an English version for its U.S. showcase. The second upgrade takes the cinematic experience even further, thanks to Dolby Vision, offering more vivid colors and sharper contrast for an unmatched viewing experience.
At the heart of the Vision V is the “Private Lounge,” a haven for passengers that transforms into whatever they need it to be—whether that is a movie theater, a gaming station, a concert venue, an office, or a place to relax. The magic begins with a retractable 65-inch cinema screen hidden beneath the floor. Once the doors close, the screen glides up, separating the lounge from the cockpit. Through transparent floor slats, passengers can watch this transition unfold before the display comes to life.
The 4K screen, combined with Dolby Vision, ensures movies and games are sharper and more vibrant than ever. Surrounding passengers are 42 loudspeakers, including seat-mounted exciters that turn sound into a physical sensation. Seven projectors in the ceiling and floor extend the visuals to the side windows, creating a complete 360-degree cocooning effect. Ambient lighting syncs to the beat of the music, adding to the atmosphere. Everything is controlled via the central console’s touchpad, allowing the screen to be easily raised or lowered.
Looking to the future, Mercedes-Benz has big plans for its Grand Limousine lineup. Two models are coming: the VLE and the VLS. The VLE will seat up to 8 people and cater to families, active leisure users, and VIP shuttle services. The VLS will take luxury to new heights, sitting at the very top of the brand’s MPV segment. Starting in 2026, the VLE will debut on a new modular and scalable van platform, which will clearly separate luxury passenger vehicles from commercial vans. The VLS will follow, expanding the top-tier Mercedes-Benz portfolio even further.
