Limited BMW Speedtop Unveiled: Only 70 Will Ever Exist!
BMW has once again turned heads at Lake Como’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, bringing something that feels both classic and futuristic in the best way possible. The new Concept Speedtop, revealed for the first time at the 2025 event, builds on the emotional response BMW received from last year’s Skytop convertible. But instead of a two-seat roadster, this year’s spotlight stealer is a long-roof performance masterpiece that blends performance and artistry with a stunning twist.
Based on the same platform as the Skytop, the Speedtop keeps the shark-nosed V-shaped front grille, the familiar light signature, and the dramatic illuminated details. But this time, BMW adds more usability with a wagon-style rear and an elegant take on sporty luxury. From the Floating Sunstone Maroon paint up front to the way it fades into Floating Sundown Silver at the rear, every detail is thoughtfully designed. The central spine that flows over the hood, roof, and spoiler acts like a visual signature, and the 14-spoke, two-tone wheels were custom built for this vehicle alone.
Step inside, and the two-tone leather cabin instantly grabs attention. Finished in Sundown Maroon and Moonstone White, the interior matches the exterior’s elegance while projecting a beam of ambient light across the headliner. Even the cargo space is crafted to perfection, with a split luggage area lined in the same fine leather. Of course, it would not be a BMW show car without custom Schedoni bags that fit seamlessly into the compartments.
While BMW is keeping the finer mechanical details under wraps, they confirmed it will feature the most powerful V8 engine in their current lineup. That likely means a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 producing around 617 horsepower.
Here is the best part—it is not just a design study. BMW plans to build 70 of these hand-crafted wagons, though they will not be sold in the United States. This is a car for collectors, for enthusiasts, for the few who can afford exclusivity.
