Kia EV6 GT 2025: Insane Power, New Tech, Lower Price
Kia’s new EV6 GT is back and it is sharper, quicker, and more advanced than ever before. With a powerful update inside and out, this electric grand tourer is no longer just Kia’s fastest model—it is a statement about how far the brand has come in high-performance electric mobility.
The new EV6 GT now starts at £59,985 in the United Kingdom, which is £2,690 less than before. That price drop does not come at the cost of features. In fact, it now packs even more performance and technology, starting with a larger 84 kilowatt-hour battery pack that increases driving range to up to 279 miles on a full charge. That is a 16-mile gain compared to the previous version, and despite the larger size, the battery is actually 1 kilogram lighter.
Under the hood—or more accurately, beneath the floor—sits an all-wheel drive, dual-motor setup producing up to 641 brake horsepower and 770 Newton-meters of torque. That is 64 more horsepower and 30 more Newton-meters than the previous model, giving the EV6 GT enough muscle to sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour in only 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 161 miles per hour.
Beyond raw performance, the EV6 GT gets several dynamic updates. The GT Mode has been upgraded and is now more responsive. When the driver presses the bright neon green GT button on the steering wheel, everything sharpens up: throttle response, steering, and display graphics. The digital driver display changes its layout, using exclusive green accents and updated fonts for speed and range.
Inside the cabin, neon green details appear throughout the upholstery and on the brake calipers, creating a sportier, more engaging atmosphere. Kia even introduced a brand-new feature called Virtual Gear Shift, which simulates a six-speed paddle-shift transmission. It is not just visual; you feel the gear changes, hear them, and interact with the vehicle in a way that adds depth to the driving experience. It is one of the most innovative features in any electric vehicle today.
The EV6 GT also makes use of Kia’s advanced 800-volt charging system. Thanks to this tech, the new GT model can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, with a peak charging power of 258 kilowatts—an 8 percent boost over the earlier EV6 GT.
Kia has not just given the EV6 GT a power upgrade. It is a full evolution. The new design is bolder with updated lighting, sharper body lines, and refined proportions that give it more presence. But the real transformation is in how it drives, how it feels, and how it connects with its driver.
