Kia EV4 Revealed – Europe’s Game-Changing Electric Hatchback with Hidden Features
Kia’s EV4 is stepping into the saloon and C-segment market with a bold two-bodystyle approach, offering drivers a fresh blend of design, practicality, and advanced technology. Built for Europe and produced in Žilina, Slovakia, it is more than just an electric car—it is a safety-focused, convenience-packed, and driver-friendly experience tailored to a wide range of customers.
The EV4 comes loaded with Kia’s latest generation of advanced driver assistance systems, using multiple cameras and radars to detect hazards in real time. Drivers in the United Kingdom benefit even more, as the DriveWise ADAS Pack—usually optional—is included at no extra cost across all trim levels, even the entry-level Air version. From motorway cruising to city driving, the EV4 aims to make every trip less demanding.
Its safety features include Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Assist. Convenience tools like Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control ensure drivers maintain lane position and safe distances effortlessly. Extra touches like the Blind Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, Driver Attention Warning, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist add another layer of confidence on the road.
Remote Smart Parking Assist allows you to park the EV4 without even sitting inside—simply use the key fob or the Kia App to move it forward or backward into tight spaces. A 12-inch head-up display projects speed and navigation details directly onto the windshield, while the Hands On Detection system ensures the driver remains in control. Over-the-air updates mean the car can improve and gain new features without a service center visit.
Structural safety is equally impressive. The battery area features a multi-load path at the front for impact protection, reinforced rear collision safeguards, and a roof strong enough to withstand over five times the car’s weight. Side impact safety is boosted by a multi-rib rocker panel design.
Kia’s engineers even customized acceleration profiles in the Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control based on European driver feedback, making the EV4 feel more responsive in local conditions. Customers can also choose the sportier GT-Line or GT-Line S trims for unique styling and a more dynamic presence.
