Kia EV4 Hatchback Revealed – Pricing, Range, and Features You Need to See

Kia EV4 Hatchback Revealed – Pricing, Range, and Features You Need to See

The 2026 Kia EV4 Hatchback is bringing fresh energy to the compact electric vehicle scene, blending everyday practicality with the design confidence Kia has built its reputation on. Built in Slovakia, this new hatchback carries Kia’s Opposites United styling language, giving it sharp lines and a clean, futuristic character. It is underpinned by a 400-volt version of the Electric Global Modular Platform, a simplified spin on the advanced 800-volt system used in the Kia EV6.

Buyers will have two battery options to choose from: a 58.3 kWh pack or a larger 81.4 kWh long-range version. Charging is quick and efficient, with the smaller battery able to go from 10 to 80 percent in 29 minutes at 150 kilowatts, while the long-range option requires 31 minutes. Range is where the EV4 shines. In Germany, it delivers up to 625 kilometers on the WLTP cycle with the 81.4 kWh pack, while in the United Kingdom, estimates go as high as 391 miles (629 kilometers).

Performance remains balanced for everyday use, with the single-motor front-wheel drive setup producing 150 kilowatts (201 horsepower) and 283 Newton-meters of torque. That translates to a sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in as little as 7.4 seconds, or 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 7.2 seconds. Top speed is capped at 170 kilometers per hour, which equals 105 miles per hour. Despite not being as aerodynamic as Kia’s fastback models, the hatchback still achieves an impressive drag coefficient of 0.27.

Practicality is not overlooked either. The EV4 Hatchback offers 435 liters of cargo space, vehicle-to-load capability to power devices, and vehicle-to-grid technology that allows energy sharing. Assembly takes place at Kia’s AutoLand Slovakia facility in Zilina, which also builds the XCeed and Sportage. To fine-tune the driving experience, Kia tested and optimized the EV4 in Germany, ensuring suspension components like MacPherson struts, multi-link rear setups, hydro-G bushings, and frequency-responsive dampers deliver comfort and confidence on European roads.

Pricing reflects Kia’s push to keep electric mobility accessible. In the United Kingdom, the entry-level Air trim with the 58.3 kWh battery starts at £34,695, while the long-range model comes in at £37,695. In Germany, prices start at €37,590 and stretch to €43,420 depending on battery choice. Converted at current rates, that places the EV4 between $44,270 and $51,140 in United States dollars. Kia has not yet confirmed an official price for the United States market.

The Kia EV4 Hatchback blends efficiency, style, and usability into a package aimed squarely at modern families and city drivers. It shows how Kia is working to make advanced electric vehicles more accessible without compromising on quality or features.
