Is the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker the New Electric Off-Road King?

Is the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker the New Electric Off-Road King?

Subaru is stepping deeper into the electric world with its latest rugged offering, the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker. Designed to be more capable and roomier than the Solterra, this new all-electric sport utility vehicle brings adventure-ready capability along with everyday practicality.

Larger than its sibling, the Trailseeker is longer by 6 inches and nearly an inch taller, giving it more space inside for passengers and cargo. With a completely flat floor, there is extra legroom and improved comfort for everyone onboard. The vehicle also comes standard with Subaru’s signature all-wheel drive, making it a solid choice for both city driving and off-road exploration.

Power comes from two electric motors powered by a 74.7 kilowatt-hour battery mounted beneath the floor. Together, they produce around 375 horsepower, which translates to a quick zero to sixty acceleration in about 4.3 seconds. Estimated driving range is over 260 miles, and the Trailseeker includes a North American Charging Standard port for easy access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.

Ground clearance remains a respectable 8.3 inches, and the vehicle can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Visually, the Trailseeker sports the new Subaru family look, complete with an illuminated six-star logo, reworked headlights, and bold plastic cladding. Buyers can choose between 18-inch and 20-inch wheels, depending on preference.

Inside the cabin, drivers are greeted by a 14-inch horizontal infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are dual wireless charging pads and USB-C ports in the rear to keep everyone powered up. Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist technology comes standard for added safety.

Pricing has not yet been announced, but more detailed specs and figures are expected closer to its launch in early 2026.
