Ford Revives the Lobo Name for 2025 F-150 – And It Looks Mean

Ford is giving its street truck lineup a bold upgrade with the introduction of the 2025 F-150 Lobo. Building off the smaller Maverick Lobo that debuted last year, this new model brings street-ready style to the full-size pickup segment. The name “Lobo,” which means “Wolf” in Spanish, is not new to Ford fans. It first showed up on a Bronco concept back in 1981 and later became a production trim in the Mexican-market F-150 starting in 1997. Now, it is finally available in the United States.

The F-150 Lobo is not a standalone model but rather an optional appearance package for the STX trim. It is only available in the SuperCrew configuration and is powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. While it sticks with the same 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, the powertrain is still plenty capable. If you want more performance, the 450-horsepower EcoBoost V-6 or the Raptor R’s 720-horsepower supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 is still your best bet.

This model brings serious street attitude with a lowered stance, sitting two inches lower in the rear. Exclusive 22-inch gloss black wheels and dual exhaust tips add even more flair. The styling package includes a cowl hood, redesigned grille, a dual-layer LED light bar, black accents, and updated taillights. Lobo badging is subtle but present, giving the truck a unique identity.

Inside and out, the Lobo stays focused on turning heads. It is not just about looks though — this truck can haul up to 1,450 pounds and tow as much as 7,900 pounds. A full-time four-wheel-drive system with selectable drive modes makes it capable when needed.

Pricing starts at $59,995 including destination and handling fees, which is $4,695 above the base STX. You can choose from multiple exterior colors, including Atlas Blue, Rapid Red, Carbonized Gray, and Oxford White.
