BMW M3 CS Touring Shatters Nürburgring Lap Record

BMW M3 CS Touring Shatters Nürburgring Lap Record

BMW has made history once again at the Nürburgring. The new BMW M3 CS Touring completed a lap around the legendary Nordschleife in just 7:29.490 minutes, setting the record as the fastest Touring model ever to lap the 20.8-kilometer course. That is not just a number—it is a statement. This mid-size performance machine is not only about raw speed but about what happens when everyday usability meets motorsport DNA.

According to Franciscus van Meel, Chief Executive Officer of BMW M GmbH, this model was destined to raise the bar. And it did just that, beating the previous record held by the BMW M3 Touring from 2022, which clocked 7:35.060 minutes. Jörg Weidinger, an experienced development driver, was behind the wheel, proving the M3 CS Touring is more than just a family hauler—it is a precision tool for the track.

In BMW’s M lineup, the M4 CSL still holds the crown with a 7:18.137 time, followed closely by the M4 CS at 7:21.989 and the M3 CS at 7:28.760. The new M3 CS Touring falls just over a second behind that last benchmark, showing just how capable this wagon really is.

This Touring model is not just about performance. It is packed with a 550 horsepower six-cylinder engine, an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission, and BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour happens in 3.5 seconds. Top speed? 300 kilometers per hour. Whether you are on the Autobahn or at the Nürburgring, it delivers consistent, thrilling performance.

The interior blends digital convenience with true driver-focused elements, while offering up to 1,510 liters of cargo space. That is what makes this car the ultimate “One Car Solution”—track-bred yet family-ready.
