Base Audi E-Tron GT Revealed: Same Power, Less Price?

Base Audi E-Tron GT Revealed: Same Power, Less Price?

Audi is adding a new base version to its electric E-Tron GT lineup, and it is far from basic in terms of performance. While the S and RS variants grabbed the spotlight last year, this entry-level E-Tron GT quietly delivers serious performance with a more accessible price point.

From a design perspective, it is nearly indistinguishable from the more expensive models. It skips the S and RS badging at the rear and adds more black accents to the front, but beyond that, the body remains sleek and familiar.

Performance-wise, this “base” GT is still a powerhouse. It uses dual electric motors for Quattro all-wheel drive and offers 496 horsepower under regular conditions or 577 horsepower with launch control activated. That is enough to go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.0 seconds. It is only 0.6 seconds slower than the S model and offers better range too.

The car comes equipped with a 97.0 kilowatt-hour battery that delivers up to 386.5 miles of range on the WLTP cycle. Thanks to 320-kilowatt ultra-fast charging, you can add 177 miles in just 10 minutes or go from 10 to 80 percent in only 18 minutes.

One key benefit of this base version is that it is about 66 pounds lighter than the S, thanks to fewer components and no performance extras. That also helps extend the range slightly by 12 miles.

In Germany, this model starts at €108,900, which is €17,100 less than the S. However, Porsche still undercuts Audi with its Taycan 4 starting at €107,300. For U.S. buyers, pricing has not yet been confirmed, but it is likely to land around $110,000, just under the $126,795 S version.
