Honda Pilot Facelift First Look in Render – Bigger Screen, New Grille, Hybrid Incoming?

Honda’s flagship crossover is preparing for a well-deserved refresh, and recent spy photos give us the first real look at what is coming. The fourth-generation Pilot, introduced in late 2022, has been around long enough for Honda to plan a mid-cycle update. Test vehicles have already been seen on public roads, hinting at both subtle and meaningful changes to its design.

The most noticeable change is the new front grille, now larger and more pronounced, giving the Pilot a bolder road presence. A redesigned front bumper features vertical accents that add more depth to the SUV’s front end. The headlights appear to retain their shape, but a refreshed LED signature is expected. Around back, the taillights also seem to maintain their current outline, although the production version may adopt lighting elements similar to those found on the newer Honda Prologue. The rear bumper should also receive a modernized treatment, and prototypes have been spotted wearing new alloy wheels that complete the more refined exterior look.

Inside, Honda will likely introduce a bigger infotainment display to replace the current 9-inch screen, which feels undersized compared to modern rivals. Expect improvements to overall material quality, connectivity options, and driver-assistance technologies as well. The cabin will probably focus on enhancing everyday comfort while integrating the latest iteration of Honda’s digital interface.

Under the hood, the current naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 289 horsepower and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission might not be the only option anymore. There is strong speculation that Honda could introduce a new hybrid powertrain aimed at delivering better performance and significantly improved fuel efficiency, aligning the Pilot with the company’s electrification goals.

The refreshed Honda Pilot is expected to make its official debut sometime next year, continuing to serve as one of Honda’s most important and family-friendly models.
