2026 PEUGEOT 308 and 308 SW: Electric Range, Plug-in Power, and a Glowing Face
PEUGEOT has taken the 308 and 308 SW and sharpened every edge that matters. The new face glows with an illuminated emblem and a grille framed by clever airflow guides that help stability and efficiency. Three narrow light-emitting-diode claws at the front and rear give the car a confident look, while new diamond-cut wheels in 17 inches or 18 inches fill the arches with purpose. You can pick the sleek 308 hatch for a sportier stance or the 308 SW if you want that elegant long roof and extra practicality.
Inside, the clean dashboard flows around a 10 inch central touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster with optional three-dimensional graphics. Five configurable i-Toggles sit below for one-touch shortcuts to your favorite functions. Materials feel genuinely premium, with genuine aluminum and available Alcantara, while ambient lighting lets you set the mood with 8 colors. The 308 SW adds real daily usefulness with a 40/20/40 rear bench and up to 1,487 liters of space, plus an available powered tailgate.
The powertrain menu covers every kind of driver. The fully electric E-308 uses a 115 kilowatt motor rated at 156 horsepower and 270 Newton meters, fed by a 58.4 kilowatt hour battery (55.4 usable) on a 400-volt system. Range is up to 450 kilometers on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure combined cycle, and a 100 kilowatt public charger can take you from 20 percent to 80 percent in about 32 minutes. Regenerative braking is adjustable in 3 steps via steering paddles so you can dial in the feel you like.
If you prefer a blend, the Plug-in Hybrid 195 pairs a 92 kilowatt electric motor with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder gasoline engine for a combined 195 horsepower through a quick-shifting dual-clutch automatic with 7 speeds. A 17.2 kilowatt hour battery targets up to 85 kilometers of electric-only driving (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) and can recharge in about 2 hours 5 minutes on a 7.4 kilowatt charger. The Hybrid 145 keeps things simple with an electrified 6-speed dual-clutch, delivering smooth torque boosts in town and measured consumption of roughly 4.7 to 5 liters per 100 kilometers. Long-distance drivers can opt for the proven 1.5 liter BlueHDi diesel with 130 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic.
Comfort and tech are dialed in. Optional AGR-certified seats support your back on long trips; heating and massage are available, and the AQS air-quality system with Clean Cabin filtration guards what you breathe. An optional Focal Premium Hi-Fi brings 10 speakers and a 690 watt, 12-channel amplifier. Wireless mirroring for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard, joined by four Universal Serial Bus Type C ports—two front, two rear. Remote updates, connected navigation, and the MyPEUGEOT app add convenient touches like pre-conditioning and scheduled charging. Sustainability is part of the build, too: the 308 family integrates over 30 percent green materials and meets strict recyclability goals.
PEUGEOT backs the car with up to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers of vehicle warranty via PEUGEOT Care in France, with orders opening in autumn 2025.
