509 HP Macan GTS (2026): Do You Need More Than This?
The Macan Electric story is accelerating fast, and today’s chapter adds real excitement. Porsche is phasing out the gasoline Macan worldwide by 2026 and developing a differently named combustion crossover for 2028, so the electric lineup is carrying the torch. Enter the Macan GTS, an all wheel drive variant that slots between the 4S and the Turbo, and it brings the right kind of heat.
The heart of the GTS borrows the Turbo’s electric motor setup for a combined 509 horsepower, which rises to 563 horsepower with launch control. With 704 pound feet of instant torque, that shove is the kind you feel in your chest, pushing the car to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. The Turbo still holds the crown, trimming roughly half a second off that sprint, but the GTS lands in the sweet spot where speed meets daily use.
From the jump, Porsche equips the GTS with the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and a model specific air suspension tune. Engineers chased precision here: it has the lowest center of gravity of any Macan Electric, firmer dampers and retuned anti roll bars for crisp responses, plus the option for rear wheel steering to tighten low speed maneuvering and add stability at pace. It is the kind of setup that turns a regular commute into a small ritual — that is the Human Touch that makes a specification sheet feel personal.
Visuals follow the GTS playbook. There are black exterior accents, tinted headlights and taillights, and a standard Sport Design Package with reshaped front and rear fascias. Those fascias debut on the GTS and will roll out to the rest of the Macan Electric family in summer 2026. Beefier rocker panels make the stance look more planted. Lugano Blue joins Carmine Red and Chalk, and buyers can choose from 15 standard colors or roughly 60 more through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. Standard wheels measure 21 inches, with available 22 inch alloys finished in Anthracite Gray for a bolder look.
Inside, Porsche introduces a GTS Interior Package with contrast stitching that can match the exterior when you choose Carmine Red, Slate Gray Neo, or Lugano Blue. You also get a GTS logo on the steering wheel and the instrument cluster. This package is available only with the carbon fiber interior trim, which suits the car’s intent: purposeful, but not loud.
Porsche is already taking United States orders. The Macan GTS starts at $103,000, which is $6,500 less than the 630 horsepower Turbo. For context, the earlier six cylinder Macan GTS undercut this new one by $10,000 a decade ago, but the performance, technology, and content in this electric GTS change the equation. First deliveries begin next spring.
