World’s First Mass Produced Humanoid Robot Is Here

UBTECH has taken a major step toward bringing humanoid robots into everyday life with the introduction of the new UWORLD U1 Series. Revealed during the company’s 2026 Global Launch Event in Shenzhen, China, the new robot is being presented as the world’s first full-size ultra bionic humanoid robot built for mass production. It represents a shift from robots that mainly work in factories to machines that can interact naturally with people in homes, schools, healthcare, and many other environments.

The launch event focused on the company’s long-term vision of creating a future where humans and robots work and live together. Under the theme “Endless Love,” UBTECH introduced a robot designed not only to move like a person but also to understand emotions and build meaningful relationships through daily interaction.

Demand for the UWORLD U1 has already been impressive. UBTECH announced that cumulative orders reached 13,361 units by the day of the official launch, showing that interest in advanced humanoid robots continues to grow rapidly around the world.

The company introduced multiple versions of the robot, including the U1 Lite, U1 Pro, and the flagship U1 Ultra. The robots feature 88 degrees of freedom, allowing them to perform smooth and natural human movements. A biomimetic spine, advanced balance system, and realistic facial expressions help make the robot appear more lifelike during conversations and everyday tasks.

Artificial intelligence is one of the biggest highlights of the new platform. The UWORLD U1 can recognize more than 20 emotional states and respond differently depending on how a person feels. According to UBTECH, the robot combines fast reactions with deeper reasoning, allowing conversations and interactions to feel much more natural than traditional voice assistants.

Privacy was also a major focus during development. Much of the personal information processed by the robot is stored locally using encrypted memory, helping reduce dependence on cloud services while protecting user data.

UBTECH believes this is only the beginning. The company sees humanoid robots becoming trusted companions that can assist families, support older adults, help with education, and perform many daily tasks. If the UWORLD U1 delivers on its promises, it could become one of the biggest milestones yet in the evolution of consumer humanoid robotics.
