Watch LimX Luna Robot Step Out of Its Transport Box
LimX Dynamics is showing how quickly its Luna humanoid robot can go from transportation to operation. In a new demonstration, Luna arrives packed inside a protective transport case alongside a complete collection of accessories designed to make setup simple.
The package includes the robot and supporting equipment needed for operation, charging, control, and transportation. Instead of requiring a complicated assembly process after opening the case, Luna is designed to make deployment much easier.
The most interesting moment comes when Luna powers up inside the box. Rather than requiring someone to physically lift the humanoid robot out, Luna rises from its compact position, carefully steps over the edge of the transport case, and places both feet on the floor. The movement looks controlled as the robot maintains its balance during the transition.
LimX Dynamics says Luna will eventually be able to step into and out of its transport box using 1 tap, making storage and deployment more convenient. The company says this capability will become available through a future over the air software update.
The demonstration offers another look at how humanoid robots are becoming easier to transport, set up, and operate. Luna’s ability to essentially get itself out of the box could make deployment considerably more practical.
