This Is Not Your Average Mercedes CLA
rcedes-Benz CLA is not just a refresh—it is a full transformation of what a modern compact luxury car should be. Mercedes is taking a bold step by building the new CLA on its Modular Architecture platform, which supports both electric and hybrid models. That means more options for buyers and a more sustainable future for performance sedans.
The fully electric CLA 250+ comes with a rear-mounted motor producing 268 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 6.6 seconds. Then there is the CLA 350 4MATIC with dual motors and all-wheel drive, pumping out 349 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. That version does 0 to 60 in a quick 4.8 seconds.
What really makes this generation special is the 800-volt architecture and the 85 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. It supports fast charging up to 320 kilowatts, which means you can gain about 186 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Range is also impressive—431 to 492 miles for the CLA 250+ and up to 479 miles for the dual-motor 4MATIC.
Step inside and the technology is just as futuristic. You get the new Mercedes-Benz User Experience system powered by MB.OS with integration from OpenAI and Microsoft. There is emotion recognition, smart voice interaction, and machine learning that adapts to your preferences. A large 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 14-inch center touchscreen dominate the cabin. There is even a passenger display available.
The exterior design is sleek, athletic, and unmistakably Mercedes. With frameless doors, a panoramic glass roof, and an illuminated grille made of 142 LED stars, it blends elegance and innovation. Plus, you still get useful storage—a 405-liter trunk and a 101-liter front trunk.
The starting price is expected around $47,000 for the electric CLA 250+ and roughly $58,000 for the CLA 350 4MATIC. Availability begins in late 2025, with hybrid variants coming in 2026.
