This Hybrid SUV Has 750 HP and Satellite Comms? Meet the Jetour G700!
At Auto Shanghai 2025, Jetour made a bold statement with the debut of the G700, a rugged luxury SUV that aims to balance off-road grit with upscale comfort. Sitting right between the more compact G600 and the larger G900, the G700 represents Jetour’s ambition to play in the premium adventure space without losing its sense of innovation and utility.
Built on the company’s all-new GAIA intelligent off-road platform, the G700 is more than just a pretty face. Under the hood, it features the Super Hybrid iDM-O system, which blends a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with dual electric motors. Together, they deliver an impressive 750 horsepower and 795 newton-meters of torque. That power gets distributed through an advanced four-wheel drive system, giving this SUV real capability on and off the beaten path.
What stands out just as much is its range. With a full tank and charge, the G700 can travel up to 1,500 kilometers, including 150 kilometers of pure electric driving. That means fewer stops and more exploration—perfect for long-distance journeys or wild weekends.
The design of the G700 is anything but subtle. With a squared-off silhouette, rugged fenders, and a stance that screams adventure, it channels the spirit of icons like the Land Rover Defender and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The special “Cyberspace” edition even leans into a futuristic, almost sci-fi aesthetic.
Step inside, and you are greeted with a cabin that comfortably seats six people. Jetour did not skimp on materials either—expect a mix of leather and suede, along with thoughtful touches like second-row tray tables, footrests, and an adjustable third row with ample legroom.
Technologically, the G700 is loaded. It includes a full suite of driver assistance features, including 360-degree cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors to support autonomous parking. For those venturing into remote terrain, the G700 also features low-orbit satellite connectivity and even an oxygen generation system to keep passengers safe and comfortable in extreme environments.
The Jetour G700 is expected to hit the Middle East market in late 2025, with other global rollouts likely to follow in 2026 or 2027. Jetour is clearly betting big on this new SUV, and from what we have seen, that bet might just pay off.
