The Last Toyota Supra A90 Is Here – But Is It Too Expensive?

The Last Toyota Supra A90 Is Here – But Is It Too Expensive?

Toyota is giving the Supra A90 a grand send-off with the Final Edition, and it comes at a hefty price. This limited-production model is the ultimate version of the fifth-generation Supra, featuring a serious power boost, upgraded hardware, and exclusive styling elements. With only 300 units available in Europe and Japan, the scarcity alone makes it a collector’s dream. However, with increasingly strict emissions regulations in Europe, this might be the last of its kind.

Now, the real question is whether it is worth paying nearly double the price of a standard six-cylinder Supra. In Germany, Toyota has set the price at €142,800. For comparison, the regular 3.0-liter model starts at €73,250, while the base 2.0-liter version is priced at €63,250. If you think that is steep, in France, the price climbs even higher to €144,000, and buyers must enter a lottery just to get the chance to purchase one.

Powering the Supra A90 Final Edition is not BMW’s high-performance S58 engine but rather an upgraded version of the B58. It now produces 429 horsepower, up from 382 horsepower, while torque jumps from 369 pound-feet to 420 pound-feet. Interestingly, this makes it the most powerful B58 engine ever fitted in a BMW or Toyota.

To match the added performance, Toyota has equipped the car with larger Brembo front brakes, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, and an adjustable KW suspension. The wheels are staggered, featuring Gazoo Racing branding, with 19-inch rims at the front and 20-inch rims at the rear. The car is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which are 10 percent wider than those on the standard model.

Visually, the Final Edition gets an aggressive new aero package, including a carbon fiber front spoiler and a large rear swan-neck wing. The hood duct, also made from carbon fiber, is removable for additional cooling during track sessions. The interior is equally special, with lightweight carbon fiber Recaro bucket seats, red seatbelts, and generous Alcantara trim.
