Stock 2015 Mercedes E63 S AMG Drag Race Test – Video

A Quarter mile drag race video of a stock 2015 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG S. Beginning in 2014, all US Mercedes E63’s were All Wheel Drive (4Matic in Mercedes language).

The German super sedan in the video is all stock and speced with optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes. The Mercedes E63 powered by a hand built AMG 5.5 Liter BiTurbo V8 which makes 577 horsepower in S version trim (more boost than base model). The power is sent to the wheels via a 7 speed MCT  your box.

Due to the all-wheel-drive system, the new Mercedes E63 will run 11.60-11.70’s consistently without a hint on tire spin. The day of this run was a warm and humid 80 F with a DA of about 1500.  This Mercedes should run 11.50’s in better conditions. Not bad for a heavy  4400 lbs sedan.
