New Ram TRX Is Cheaper and More Powerful

Ram is making a bold statement in the high performance truck segment with the return of the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX, and one of the biggest stories is not just the power. It is the price.

The new Ram 1500 SRT TRX starts at $99,995 before destination charges, making it one of the most aggressive performance truck launches in recent years. Once the $2,795 destination fee is added, the total comes to $102,790. Even with that added cost, Ram undercuts its biggest rival, the Ford F-150 Raptor R, by more than $11,000.

For buyers shopping in the six figure performance truck market, that difference is hard to ignore. The Ford F-150 Raptor R currently carries a price tag of $114,420, giving the Ram a significant value advantage while also delivering more horsepower and torque.

Under the hood is the return of the legendary supercharged 6.2 liter HEMI V8 engine. This latest version produces 777 horsepower and 680 pound feet of torque, making it the most powerful gasoline powered production pickup truck currently available. That is a noticeable increase over the previous TRX, which produced 702 horsepower.

The impressive performance numbers back up the headline figures. Ram says the truck can sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds, complete the quarter mile in 12.0 seconds, and reach a top speed of 118 miles per hour.

Ram did not sacrifice luxury while chasing performance. Buyers receive heated, ventilated, and massaging Natura Plus leather seats, carbon fiber trim, a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, a massive 14.5 inch touchscreen, and a 19 speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.

Customers wanting something even more exclusive can choose the Bloodshot Night Edition package. Priced at $9,995, it pushes the truck’s total cost to $112,785 and adds unique styling details, special graphics, upgraded wheels, and exclusive interior treatments.

With production scheduled to begin on August 3, 2026, the new Ram 1500 SRT TRX is arriving with a simple message: more power, more features, and a lower price than its biggest competitor. In a market where performance trucks continue getting more expensive, that combination could make the TRX one of the hottest truck launches of the year.
