New Lancia Gamma Could Change Everything For Lancia

New Lancia Gamma Could Change Everything For Lancia

Lancia is getting ready to enter a new chapter with the upcoming 2026 Gamma, and the company is already showing signs that this vehicle could become one of the brand’s biggest modern comebacks. Development is moving quickly, with early production models already testing on public roads in Italy ahead of the official launch expected later this year.

The new Gamma has been designed to blend elegance with modern crossover practicality. Instead of following the traditional sport utility vehicle formula, Lancia is giving the vehicle a sleek fastback shape with smoother body lines and a more premium appearance. The styling appears focused on delivering comfort and luxury while still looking sporty and aerodynamic on the road.

Production will take place at Stellantis’ advanced Melfi facility in Italy, which continues to play a major role in the company’s electric future. Lancia also wants the Gamma to reflect Italian craftsmanship and design, something the brand has always been known for throughout its history.

Built on the STLA Medium platform, the Gamma will support both hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Buyers looking for efficiency will have access to a 145 horsepower hybrid version capable of traveling more than 621 miles before refueling. Fully electric variants will offer even stronger performance, starting with a 230 horsepower setup delivering more than 336 miles of range.

Higher trims are expected to push the Gamma further into premium territory. One electric model is rumored to produce 245 horsepower with a driving range exceeding 460 miles. The most powerful all wheel drive version could deliver 375 horsepower while still offering up to 419 miles of range on a full charge.

With its combination of Italian styling, electrified performance, and advanced technology, the Gamma could become one of the most important vehicles Lancia has introduced in decades. More details are expected closer to the Paris Motor Show as the company prepares to officially open orders after the summer season.
