New 2027 Hyundai Tucson N Rendered
Hyundai appears ready to take the Tucson in a much more serious performance direction. The upcoming 5th generation 2027 Hyundai Tucson is expected to become the first Tucson offered as a full N performance model, moving well beyond the appearance focused N Line versions offered in previous generations.
While Hyundai has not revealed the production vehicle yet, early renderings give us an idea of how a Tucson N could look. The front could receive a much more aggressive bumper with larger air openings, black aerodynamic details, and a lower stance. Bigger performance wheels, revised side skirts, and body colored wheel arch extensions could further separate it from the standard Tucson.
The rear could be even more interesting. Renderings show a redesigned bumper with 2 large round exhaust outlets, giving the crossover a much more serious performance appearance. Hyundai could also introduce N specific suspension, brakes, steering calibration, and chassis tuning to make sure the upgrades go beyond styling.
The biggest change may be underneath. Preliminary information suggests the Tucson N could use a hybrid performance system built around a 1.6 liter turbocharged gasoline engine. An electric motor positioned at the rear axle could help deliver approximately 300 horsepower while also providing electrically assisted all wheel drive.
That would represent a noticeable increase over the current Tucson Hybrid, which produces around 235 horsepower from its 1.6 liter turbocharged hybrid system.
If Hyundai follows the philosophy of its other N vehicles, outright power will only be part of the story. The company could focus heavily on handling, braking, responsiveness, and driver involvement, potentially creating one of the more interesting performance crossovers in its class.
The new Hyundai Tucson N is expected to make its premiere in 2027. Until Hyundai releases official specifications and images, the final design and performance figures remain unconfirmed, but the possibility of a genuine Tucson N could give Hyundai’s popular crossover an entirely new personality.
